指導教師 關慧嫻女士, 成長於香港, 自幼習畫, 獲獎無數, 包括香港區域市政局水彩畫第三大獎, 1981年的香港大學美術競賽頭獎, 2004 年 Lake Oswego 美術節作品入選,
2007 年 Lake Oswego 美術結藍帶獎。2002年在加拿大首度個人畫展。關老師曾多次捐贈個人畫作予慈善機構及地區學校以募捐款做慈善公益。她目前居住於波特蘭, 除在個人畫室授課外, 並在波特蘭各地中文學校教授國畫。
Rebecca
Shao grew up in Hong
Kong. She started taking Chinese
painting lessons from Poon Sook-Chun when she was a young teenager. Poon Sook-Chun, a disciple of Master Chao
Shao-An, is a famous Lingnan School artist in Hong Kong and Canada. After studying painting for just a year,
Rebecca was awarded the first prize of painting from Hong Kong Pui Ching Middle
School. Three years later, Rebecca
was awarded the third prize of Chinese watercolor painting by Hong Kong
Regional Council. In 1981, she was
given the first prize of art competition by the University of Hong Kong. Rebecca joined the Lake Oswego Festival
of the Arts in 2004 and was given an ‘Honorable Mention’. In 2007, she was awarded ‘Blue
Ribbon’ by the Lake Oswego Festival of Arts. Rebecca
Shao currently lives in Portland.
She has participated in many teacher and student art exhibitions in
Canada. In the year 2002, she had
her first individual art exhibition in Canada. Her art works have been donated to many
charitable organizations and schools for fund raising. Rebecca is teaching Chinese painting in
her studio and at the local Chinese school in Portland.
